Welcome to my children's book website!

I am Claudia Koch ("Cook") Godinez ("Go-dee-nez").  I write stories and create illustrations for children's books. 

As a kid, I loved running in the yard, swimming, dancing,  singing, reading, writing,  picking fresh oranges and lemons, riding bikes and horses, fishing, palling around with my neighborhood friends & family members and making art and stories.  I had lot of pets.

Now I am a wife, a mom of three (teen and young adult) kids. I still love most of the same stuff and have added a few more adventures and activities. 

 I love  sharing stories with kids! My hope is my children's books inspire curiosity, compassion, adventure and a sense of wonder for the environment and others- furry, feathered, finned, scaled and  human, too! 

I look forward to building reading relationships with children, parents, agents,  professional publishing teams,  teachers, librarians, book sellers, and fellow book makers.
